CFF Awarded Campus Compact

On Friday, April 27th the Café Femenino Foundation was honored to receive the Campus Compact, Presidential Awards, Committed Community Partner award from Utah State University in Logan, UT!

Marilyn Dryke, President of Cafe Femenino Foundation was also invited to be the Keynote Speaker of the Community Engagement Celebration  & Banquet

This award belongs to many, with "Thank You" to Utah State University for funding the Greenhouse Garden project in Corral de Piedra, Peru, to Sally Sears and Caffe Ibis for supporting the project in so many ways, the USU students who fundraised and traveled to work in the community for a week: to the women coffee-producers of the Asociacion Femenina de Café y Quinoa and to the community of Corral de Piedra. We worked together to design and build a community greenhouse and irrigation system that will grow vegetables for the community introducing new and more nutritious foods to their daily diet.  For more information on the Greenhouse Garden Project, you can click here for the final Project Report.
